TEETH WHITENING

Does insurance  cover the cost of teeth whitening procedures?

No. Dental insurance does not cover any aesthetic or teeth whitening procedures.

How white will my teeth get?

On average, our clients will see an improvement of four to eight shades whiter, but Individual results will depend on your current tooth shade, treatment time, and the composition of your teeth. Your end result will be a whiter, healthier smile.

How long will the whitening last?

This varies from person to person and depends on your diet and lifestyle. Typically results last 4-6 months. However, with proper maintenance and periodic touch-up treatments, you can keep your smile looking great for a lifetime.

How often can I get my teeth whitened?

As often as you like! There are no health risks involved with our method of teeth whitening. Although we do not recommend exceeding 5x a year, as natural teeth have a maximum shade that they can reach, which is often acquired after one session. In some severe cases, we recommend a second or third visit to acquire the brightest shade. If this pertains to you, we will definitely let you know before getting started on your whitening journey.

Does it hurt?

A very small percentage of clients may feel some tooth sensitivity, especially if they consume very cold/hot foods or drinks within two hours after the whitening session. Any sensitivity is short term and gone within 12-24 hours.

How long does the treatment take?

The whitening procedure takes about 60 minutes. It takes no longer than the time it would for you to have a haircut or a facial - it is that simple!

Am I a good candidate for teeth whitening?

The ideal candidate for teeth whitening is someone who is in good dental health. Teeth whitening helps remove stains on the surface of your teeth caused by drinking beverages such as tea, coffee, red wine and eating food such as blueberries and beets. Using tobacco products and the aging process can also discolor teeth, but thankfully, teeth whitening can help restore the bright health of your smile.

What products do you use?

We use a dental-grade product called Opalescence Boost - Professional Teeth Whitening Gel

What is the Aftercare?

Follow "The White Diet" for 24-48 hours after a teeth whitening treatment.

Simply put, avoid consuming anything that would stain a white T-shirt. Remember after a teeth whitening treatment, the pores of your enamel are open and this makes them extra vulnerable to any stains. Once the pores close, (usually 48 hours after) you can resume your normal habits.
